Pledge of Allegiance was led by Rayann Okelberry and the H pledge by Lizzie Long. The opening song, Little Rabbit, was led by Pat Cook. We discussed the kind of dress to make. We decided on simple dresses without waists. We worked on our robes. Lizzie Long completed her robe. 4-- CAMP SEAGULL Camp Seagull, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, met Thursday afternoon at the home of Alta Cowan with Jeanne Lundholm, captain, in charge. The prayer was by Fay Russell. Susan Ashby gave a financial report. Announcement was made that a slate for election of officers will be presented at the next meeting by Ella V. Hutchinson, parlia- that was one rousing good time some The whole evening was missed. Rope tying, scafol building, packed. races, tug of war, fire building, The Guide Patrols were there. Did Cook. Donna Cook and Lizzie Long started to cut out their dresses. Pat Cook and Bonnie Jacobson worked on their robes. Ray Ann Okelberry was excused from the meeting. There were four members, 1 teacher and 1 visitor. Meeting was adjourned at 5:30 BUSY BEES The Busy Bees H Sewing Club held their meeting on Feb. 5, 1970. The opening prayer was given by Susan Christensen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Sarah Cook and the H pledge by Pam Nelson. They all spent the afternoon at the Cloth Shoppe in Payson where Mrs. Dawna Stewart gave a demonstration on cotton 4-- 4-- es great, great grandmother, Margaret Batersby Kay. Lesson leader Jennie Cox gave the lesson, The Mormons from Ireland. The hostesses Grace Wightman, Dora Hancock, and Chloe Ellsworth served tasty refreshments to 19 daughters. WEST MOUNTAIN CAMP West Mountain Camp of DUP held its monthly meeting and social Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Lillian Christiansen with Mrs. Iva Nay and Mrs. Mrs. Bernice Thompson as Hattie Merrell Funk, 97 year old mother of Mrs. Christiansen was honored guest. Her history was read by her granddaughter, Mrs. Carol Butler. The lesson Emigrants from Ireland was presented by Mrs. Betty Hurst who showed beautiful linnen articles from Ireland. Captain Vilda Erekson conducted and Chaplain Vera Finch offered the prayer. Dainty refreshments following Valentine theme were served to eighteen members. Marg Ellen Lofgran Houghton Cooper, 82, Santaquin, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1970, in Granger of causes incident to age. She was born Oct. 14, 1887, in Santaquin a daughter of Andrew B. and Anna Maria Lofgran. She married Lyman C. Houghton on May 25, 1906, in Provo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Feb. 16, 1963. She later married Albert Cooper.
