Garner and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Smith.' Mrs. Ethel Hurst accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wignall and twelve patients of their rest home to a tour of Kennecott on Thursday. They also enjoyed lunch at Bingham City Park. Bishop Sterling Spencer and his wife, Maxine Spencer, returned Thursday from a week vacation to Las Vegas and Southern California. They visited Mrs. Mae Chambers, a sister of Maxine, at Las Vegas and their daughter, Claudine, and her husband, Leon Benson, and three children of El Cajon, California. On their return trip home they were guests of Dr. and Mrs. Harold Miller and enjoyed dinner and an evening together. Yellowstone Park; Quake Lake; Buffalo Bill Memorial at Cody Wyo.; Custers Battle Field; Badlands of South Dakota; Deadwood, South Dakota, where they witnessed the mock trial of Jack McCall and their son, David, spent three days in the hospital with the flu; Mt. Rushmore. They especially enjoyed the wildlife and found it interesting feeding the tame donkeys along the Dakota highways. Jolley were hosts at a lovely garden reception honoring their daughter, Monna Mae, and Mr. Joseph Lynn Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold W. Huff and the late Joseph Arnold Thomas, on Friday, July 11, at their home. A large crowd of friends and relatives were in attendance and many beautiful gifts received. The young couple will make their home at Spanish Fork. They left Saturday night for a honeymoon at the Southern Utah National parks. John C Henderson John Carner Henderson, 74, 358 North Spanish Fork, Utah passed away Sunday, July 13, 1969 at the Payson Hospital of complications following a stroke suffered nine years ago. He was born August 22, 1895inCannon-vill- e, Utah, the son of Wm. Jasper and Sarah Ann Fletcher Henderson. His early life was spent in the Cannonville and Panguitch area where he worked with his father in the ranching and livestock business. He was educated in the schools there and also attended the Wasatch Academy in Beaver, Utah. He married Irma Lang Tuckfield June 23, 1915 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and their early married life was spent in Cannonville and Independence, Missouri. They later moved to Tooele, Utah where he was foreman at a smelter there. Health conditions necessitated them moving to Sutherland, Utah near Delta in 1928 where they farmed and herded sheep. In 1941 the family moved to Payson, Utah when he became associated with the auctioneering business. It was here that his wife passed away on November 30, 1942. He later married Flora Pierce and resided in Salem, Utah. They were later divorced. On August 30, 1948 he married Amy Burrows in Evanston, Wyoming and they have since resided in Spanish Fork. Mr. Henderson was a High Priest at the time of his death having served in many positions in the LDS Church during his life time including Supt. of the MIA and a member of the Bishopric in the Sutherland Mr. and Mrs. Harold Erekson and nine children attended a Koosharem School reunion for students from the years of 1938 to 1940. It was held Saturday afternoon for all the families. Game and sports and visiting were featured. In the evening all students and their partners attended a banquet and dance. Mr. and Mrs. Erekson received a prize (sewing kit) for having the most children, twelve in number. A beautiful memory book was completed. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Erekson and ily motored to Salt Lake on Sunday where they visited his mother, Mrs. Grace Erekson, on her 75th birthday. fam- President and Mrs. LeRoy Hill and Mrs. Zella Lunt of Salt Lake motored to Carmichael, Calif, where Mrs. Lunt remained for a visit with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rosenlund. He was born Oct. 27, 1888, in Fairport, N.Y., a son of Clinton A. and Flora Lous Whitney. He married Elvera Steiner on Dec. 18, 1920, in Salt Lake City. Mr. Whitney was a retired farmer. Surviving are his widow of Payson; one son, n, Lloyd Whitney, Granger; 3 and a brother, Merten L. Whitgrand-childre- ney, Spanish Fork. Funeral services were Wednesday at p.m, in the Keith Jolley Mortuary in Payson where friends called Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday prior to 1 I the services.
