the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM picked the last day of the Sanpete County Fair to hold a Wild Horse and Burro Auction It was the first auction of this type to be held in Sanpete County Eric Reed of the BLM who ran the auction said that he was happy with the results He said that they had transported 40 animals to Manti of which 24 had been purchased in the auction proper and six more were purchased Reed stated that this was the best turnout and purchase response for a first time location of which he was awaie In fact because if it’s success he stated that the BLM was planning on another auction in correlation with next year's county fair 1c said that several mote auctions will be held between now and then within the state Most of the animals which were from herds in Utah
