I ings for another family “Adopting” a family for Christmas will fill your family with the real “Spirit" of Christmas If you are willing to help in any capacity or would like to make donations or arrange to assist a family in need please call New Horizons in Crisis Center at or Richfield or bring your donations to New Horizons Crisis Center at 45 East 00 North At present our donations are way below what we have had for past years Please help! School Trust Land sold at auction 1996 the During November School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration sold 235 acres of trust lands to private individuals There were two separate sales: 75 acres four and miles south of Price and 160 acres just south of Hanksvillc The Price property was sold on November 20 1996 Wednesday Total selling price was $46000— about $613 per acre The Hanksvillc property was sold on Friday November 22 1996 The total selling price was $56480 or $353 per acre Both parcels were sold at public auction The proceeds from these transactions benefit Utah schools The School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration is an dependent state agency which manages 37 million acres of Utah trust lands exclusively for Utah's schools and other public institutions Holiday parties are on the rise this year and so is salmonella but this nasty pathogen won’t be a guest at your party if you are cautious Be sure to keep eggs refrigerated and only buy eggs which are in refrigerated cases Eggs that are well cooked are safe Food items with raw eggs in them such as raw cookie dough come with a risk factor Commercially made eggnog uses pasteurized eggs and therefore is not a source of salmonella However homemade eggnog can be risky It can be made safely by combining the eggs with the milk or cream and heating to 140 degrees and holding it at that temperature for 35 minutes or heating it to 160 degrees with no holding time Refrigerated cartons of low cholesterol products are an alternative These are basically pasteurized egg whites Gingerbread houses are often made with royal icing which contains raw egg whites Although the risk is relatively low it is best for immune compromised people not to eat royal icing made using fresh egg whites Dried egg whites are an option since they have been pasteurized Stirred custard is safe from salmonella once is thick enough to coat a spoon and baked custard is safe once it is set 1 Off 0 r Caydos Boots & Clogs 15 °tf Buy $75 worth of clothing we’ll give you an additional 10 OFF!
