Mrs. Eliza Jane Smith Dies At Santaquin Residence Mrs. Eliza Jane Smith died at the family residence in Santaquin last She was born at Provo on week. During the past twenty years by means of the funds secured through the sale of Christmas Seals, the death rate from tuberculosis throughout the country has been cut in half but this disease is still the one which causes the highest per cent of deaths in the young adult group. Utah has annually about 125 deaths from tuberculosis which indicates the presence of about 1200 active cases of the disease. All seals will be sold by mail. None will be sent out through school chil dren, so everyone who wants to have a part in this work should return checks to the local committee in the envelope enclosed with the seals and should use the seals on every lettei and package sent out during the Christmas Season. -- MITCIIELL-SCOT- injured, occured early last Friday morning when a car driven by Eddie Simmons of Payson collided head on with one driven by Merrill Hone of Spanish Fork at the foot of the hill ,n the main highway, first ljorth and fifth east street. The hoys were taking the girls to their home in Spanish Fork after they had 'attended (the Thanksgiving dance in Payson. The four young people received severe lacerations about the heads and hands. Merrill Hone and Miss Nelda Jensen, riding in the front seat of the Spanish Fork car were both badly cut, d bruised. In the rear seat were Mildred Evans, Thelma Ball, Elden Jensen and Charles Ward. They suffered minor cuts. The injured were all taken to the Piaysof hospital and later the group from the Hone car were removed to the Spanish Fork hospital for treatment.
