those Roby visited present about child abuse and her role in the Family Support Center She spoke about the four areas of abuse: sexual 2) 1) physical 3)mental and 4) neglect She and her husband started the Family Support Center as a place where children could come or be brought while parents had "timeout” This has proven to be a successful alternative for the "would be" abusive parent Mrs Roby also pointed out that in the past the abused child had been taken out of the home This often left the child feeling guilty and that the abuse inflicted on him was his own fault The focus now is to get the abusive parent out of the home and into a to prevent counseling program future problems We are appreciative to Jini Roby for her program and to Ann Nielsen for being our chairman Our next
