outstanding scout leaders in this area Tom Nielsen was presented the District Award of Merit by the Utah National Parks Council for demonstrating noteworthy service to south in the Deseret District Torn is serving at the present time as the Scouting Coordinator in the Delta 5th Ward and as chairman of the scouting Committee in the district Tom is well trained in scouting He has attended Wood Badge and has worked Ins ticket to get his beads He has been on the staff of the District Basic Training for several years He has ieceied many Scouting awards He is an T agle Scout has earned the On My Honor Second Miler and Scouter I raining Awards Some of the positions he has served in are Webelos Leader Scoutmaster ssistant Scoutmaster Troop Committee Chairman Unit Commissioner District Round Table Commissioner and Diamond Jubilee Scoutmaster Tom is also active and gives in the Bishophric Llders Quorum President served a LDS Mission and served as ittle eague Baseball Chairman Deseret
