I received it Our High Councilmen this month in Oak City 1st Ward was Jack Fowles With him was Teri Porter Shields The Choir sang “Abide With Me” The membership of the Glen and Kathy Roberts family was read and approved Visitors were Mrs Steve (Adelle) Lovell and family visiting Burton and Lorna Lovell Mrs Jackie Cox had her son Guy and her daughter Jackie and Jamie Harris visit her Recently Mrs Macel Anderson had Cherene Cox and her grandaughter friend Lisa from BYU spend the weekend with her Mrs Macel Anderson went to Springville and attended honors night for Artist at Springville where her sister Aliee has Bronze place on Display from there Macel went to Salt Lake and spent a few days with daughter Avis Stevensen then back to Provo and did Temple work then home Kenneth and Jill Coy visited her at home Also Avis visted her the next Sunday For Thanksgiving Macel’s son Grandpa On Nov 18 Sacrament Meeting was Elder Daren Lovell He reported his mission to our ward David Steele has spent the last week with his wife DeAnn Mrs Vern Nielson had their son Mrs Steven (Alice) Nielson and family visit them and also the Milan Jacobsons Mrs Wilburn (Elaine) Olsen had their son Kendall Olsen home for Thanksgiving Mrs Scott Harris visited his mother Jackie Cox for Thanksgiving Mrs LeRoy (Martha) Anderson had their daughter Arlene Anderson visit them They all spent Thanksgiving in Provo with Mrs Ladd (Barbara) Black and family Mrs Marlow (Molly) Anderson were in Delta for Thanksgiving at the Mrs Lester (Darla) home of Anderson Visiting at the home of Mrs Leon (LaRue) Alldredge for Thanksgiving weekend were Mrs Tim (Geri) Marshall from Highland Mrs Wade (Anna) Alldredge & children from Salina and Mrs David (Rosemary) Lovell and children from West Jordan This week Oak City 1st Ward Sacrament Meeting was the Evan B Anderson family Each member talked or sang a song They all told us something about themselves and so made us better acquainted with their family We're glad to have them be a part of our ward Mrs Rosalie Vernon had her parents Mrs Holman visiting them Mrs Pace visited her daughter Mrs Allen (Erma) Nielson and family Mr Willis Dutson had his daughter Mayvon Dutson visit him Mrs Ivan (Susan) Shipley had their grandson Mrs Craig (Kanda) Martin and children visit them on the way to California to visit his folks Mrs Roy (Geniel) Martin for Thanksgiving Mrs Glen (LaVon) Christensen had all their family home for Thanksgiving Mrs Brent (Edith) Jackman of Gillette Wyoming came the farthest Mrs Stanley Christensen and family Mrs Alan Christensen and family Mrs Kevin (Mayrene) Bodel and family and the girls Phyllis JoAnn and Madene were also present Mrs Wesley Dutson and family spent Thanksgiving day with his mother Mrs Lemira Dutson and then spent the night in Delta with Ross’ They had dinner with Rachel & John Wright on Thanksgiving day Then on Friday they came back to Oak City and had leftover turkey with the rest of the family Mrs Howard (Afton) Dutson had their family home for Thanksgiving Mrs Niel Dutson & families Mel Layne Darnee Darell Ley and DeDe Missed was Theron on his mission in California Mrs Calvin (Vernell) Dutson and all their family went to Tooele to have Thanksgiving with her family Mrs Ralph (Eda) Christensen and girls had their family home for Thanksgiving Mrs Delynn (Lorraine) Hathaway and children from McCormick Mrs Stuart (Eloise) Evans and children of Delta and Mrs Allan (Mae) Urie from Salt Lake City were there They all had a good time Mrs Brad (Pam) Cooper were in Provo on business Mrs Gordan (Clarice) Nielson had their family all home for Thanksgiving They had 31 members present From out of town were Mrs Grant (Sidney Sue) Bagley and family Mrs Crandall (Gwen) Nielson had her brother Larry Orr visit her a few days Mrs Moyle (Marge) Anderson and family of Payson spent Thanksgiving with his mother Mrs Helen Anderson ABRAHAM Phylli Johnson Ph: On Nov 21 Joyce and Tina Tolbert and Joyce’s mother Bessie Winterton flew to Fort Worth Texas where Tina competed in the Youth National Finals Rodeo The event is invitational with two winners in the various championship youth rodeos being Invited There Tina won Miss were 21 contestants Personality Modeling Personal InterHer prizes were view and Appearance saddle belt $100000 scholarship buckle hat boots and Levis The girls modeled clothes for the Fort Worth stores They had Thanksgiving dinner at Billie Bob’s in Texas They met so many super nice people Tina’s picture 'will be in the December issue of Western Horseman They returned home on Nov 26 Sherril and Cleone Tolbert drove to Salt Lake to bring Joyce and Tina home Congratulations to Tony Tolbert on his mission call to the Illinois Chicago Mission Tony is the son of Sherril and Joyce Tolbert His farewell will be held in the Sutherland 1st Ward on Dec 23 at 10:30 am He will enter the MTC on Dec 27 LaVoy and Janece Tolbert and family and Sherril Tolbert and boys enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Cleone Tolbert Guy and Kim Tipton and four children spent Thanksgiving week in Yorba Linda California with Guy’s mother Sharia Spezzano and husband John They Prisbrey and family Craig Talbot of Nephi has received a mission call to Bankok Thailand He is a grandson of Cloyd & Emma Talbot and a son of Lee & LuDean Sperry and the late Richard Talbot Sunday Nov Disneyland and Knotti Berry Farm Kim reports they really had a nice visit and vacation Temperatures were In the 60's and 70's and they came home to snow Grandfather Pete Stevens from Cottonwood Arizona recently spent a few days with Jim and Jan Turner and family Johnson enjoyed her Betty Thanksgiving day in American Fork with Merrill and Carol Johnson and family from Idaho to spend Coming two weeks in November in Boise Idaho with Ken and Francine Eixenberger A baby boy arrived for the Eixenbergers so Beth was there to help out and get acquainted with her new grandson On Nov 24 Garth and Beth Tolbert went to Orem to attend a missionary farewell for Beth’s niece Beth spent the week in Salt Lake with her children On Sunday Garth went to Salt Lake where Beth’s grandson was blessed and given the name Dantley Niel Young His parents are Shane and Kris Young Mike and LaPriel Mortensen returned home Sunday after a 10 day visit in Phoenix Arizona with Mike and Julie Katzorke and boys They report the weather was beautiful They went to a beautiful park at the foot of the Superstition Mountains Claus and Melba Marshall from Minersville were Thanksgiving day guests at the home of Ken and Connie Mortensen and girls The Von Tenney family enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Warren and Janice Tenney and boys Don Tenney was home from USU Janice’s nephew Kenneth Stogsdale and wife from BYU also joined them for the holiday Last Thursday Sherril Joyce and Tina went to Salt Lake where Tina gave a speech at the Utah Cattleman’s Convention at the Hotel Utah Last Saturday the
