Show Page 2 DIXIE SUN September 28, 1990 Entertainment THE SL "Navy SEALS- "- Was it Worth the Buck? Matthew A. Turvey Stall Writer I recently had the unique and distinct pleasure of attending the feature film, (and I use that term very loosely), "Navy Seals," at the dollar movie. I would not recommend this task to the weak of heart or stomach, but can you really complain about the eloquent seating and wonderful floor texture when you're only paying a buck? Anyway this movie was pretty bad. The story line, which is about the "Seals", the elite commando force of the United States, trying to recover some stolen "stinger" missiles from some terrorists in Beiruit. There are some quality action scenes in the movie, but the story line inbetween is really quite boring. It stars Charlie Sheen and a host of other actors from "Aliens" and "Top Gun", which this movie tried to be a cross of bonding the from "Aliens" and the hot dog super-command- from "Top Gun." Sheen's performance is highlighted by a scene where instead of hitting a guy he kisses him. In the end the good guys win and the bad guys die, kind of a twist to the usual ending of these sort of films, huh? Dont get me wrong, it wasn't really that bad, but I was expecting a little more. But hey what did I really want for a buck!! PS. Your chance to see it is gone, but never fear, it should strike on video in the near future.
