This subject has been a prominent topic of conversation around the campus this past year. This is not a new situation that has just suddenly poped up, but one which has been thought about and discussed by Mr. Corbett and the seminary authorities for several years. They are agreed that the idea is good and would be very beneficial to the college and to the students, but there are many problems which have to be considered. First of all, the fluidity of the students attending Dixie. coeds Many of the come from the small communities surrounding St. George and usually go home on week ends. This would be a cause for concern because students living in Hurric-canLaVerkin, Orderville, Enterprise, Hatch, etc., would represent almost half of the ward membership. There would also be the possibility of drawing local students to the college branch, which of course, the bishops of various wards and superintendents would not approve. Last year difficulty would have arisen by having students housing facilities scattered throughout the town. But now with Dixies rapid expansion and the fact that the girls are centralized and the young men have the outlook of a dorm in the near future, some thought should be directed toward the campus coeds and their church College Tennis Teams Attend Various Meets No Sense, Nonsense Hits life. Everything around the Dixie campus is undergoing change, in fact, a whole new campus is being built. Everything is changing except thoughts of the institute. Of course the organization of a successful college branch would tak a lot of foresight and planning and the participation of members. Would such an organization on the Dixie college campus create enough interest and enthusiasm to get started and be maintained? out-of-to- e, Yould-B- The Dixie college tennis team will attend the conference meet at C.S.U. The birds are singing, Teds top is down, Veyo is prospering, Billys back, love is blooming, classes are snoring . . . ah, yes, Spring! This Spring Quarter always produces great indistrialism in each class room. Of course field trips, track meets, assembly and band tours, speech meets . . . none of these ever interfere with classes. Just because 50 of the student body is out of town is no reason to well, I mean . . . Now my old Mother Cat has the right idea about Spring. Not that she ever does anything but sleep and eat, but wouldnt life be wonderful if all you had to worry about was whether you could amass the energy, from day to day, necessary to transport your carcass a few inches when the sun began to cut in on your spot of shade?
