Show THE DIXIE NEWS BOCCACCIO During Wednesday, January 7, the Dixie College music contest was carried on in the tabernacle. The students from the different piano departments competed first, therefore we anticipated seeing a display of stage fright. We were wrong in our thinking, however, as the girls played with much ease. The judges for the piano work, Frank Miles, Mrs. M'ae Pace and Mrs. Olive Reeve, named the following as winners: Louise Huff, junior division, Marion Lee, intermediate division and Priscilla Hall advanced division. SCOUT LEADERSHIP The iScout Leadership division of the Dixie College Leadership week was under the direct supervision of Executive A. A. Anderson of the Timpanogas council. He was assisted toy Dr. W. J. Reichmann, who directed the first aid work, E. R. Quinn of the Mountain States Telephone company, and B. Glen Smith of the Dixie College faculty. Two organized courses in leadership were given. The first of these was the minimum course as outlined by national headquarters. The second was an advanced course in first aid. Certificates were awarded those who completed either of these courses. A court of honor was held Wed- nesday night in the tabernacle, Executive Anderson awarding six minimum certificates and nine in first aid. Men receiving these awards represented three states, five stakes, eight communities and ten wards. Oscar A. iKirkham, regional executive, was present Monday and talked on ceremonial and court of honor work. Mr. Anderson also gave some handicraft instruction.
