The championship which had been for seven years a stranger had at last come back to Dixie. Eastian will represent the D. N. C., they are working hard on the question and are resolved to make our debating record as good as that in athletics. Donald Pymn, one of Dixies old star debaters is coaching the FUN AND PHILOSOPHY and stu- dents, in every conceiveable garb, soon appeared on the campus, preparations for the return of the conquerors were soon under way. Mrs. Hunt with her unlimited knowledge and skill was summoned forth from her domicile and soon white aproned girls sprang up from everywhere like mushrooms in the night. Immediately odors of the coming banquet rose through the building. At 12 oclock carloads of faculty and students speeded forth to Washington to greet and return with the mighty heroes. When they finally reached home, dusty and travel stained though they were, there was dancing and high revelry in the Gym. until the team overcome with joy and fatigue as they were, were led in triumph to the banquet hall where they proceeded to enjoy one more real feed before they began dieting again to win the state championship.
