Show The Dixie Owl, St. George, Utah 2L AN APPRECIATION The committee for Founders Day greatly appreciate the loyalty, originality, and enthusiasm shown by the various classes in preparation for the Founders Day Program. Every suggestion made by the committee was carried out energetically, while the classes displayed rare judgement and much originality in the events which they prepared. The D. N. IF I IIAD A MILLION CHRISTMAS DOLLARS While in the presence of one of my friends I happened to say, Oh, I wish I had a million dollars for Christmas! Do you think you could spend it wisely, so as to strengthen folks and not to weaken them? she asked. Lead me to the million dollars, I answered, and though you may hail from the deepest part of Missouri, Ill show you. This is what Id do. The first thing, natural enough for me, would be to collect every dog I could find in the and in every poor quarter, and fill street, in alley-waythem with choicest bits of food until their sides would stick out like observation baloons, and they couldnt walk, but would just roll over and go to sleep at my feet. Id take some choice bones, dip them in gravy, and put one to each dogs nose, so he could have fun while getting sick.
