Show THE DIXIE OWL College Notes The unknown has been developed, as those who witnessed the College play will agree. Though the class felt serious misgivings as to its theatrical ability, yet the vote was that each member would take any part he should be asked. Why Smith was the comedy Left Home, chosen, and the cast worked untiringly until the day of presentation came and then great was their reward for behold the large audience that greeted them exceeded even their fondest expectations. Though all did well we were especially amused with the perplexed Count Von (iuggenheim who did not know this country was such damn foolishness. The poor hen pecked General who bowed so meekly to his domineering wife, and at the same time carried on his sly flirtations Ze fine man, was certainly, while the Irish cook with her cool authority had them all guessing where they stood. The delightful old maid, whose snubs for the Colonel turned so quickly to love when she found she had lost the Count, and his genial acceptance of her, wiggling, was comedy indeed. Senior Notes 1 he class of 1918 has always been noted for its originality and life, but last week it gave the whole school a shock by in traducing Senior Week. Monday morning in chapel the Seniors chal- lenged the honorable faculty for an Irish story telling contest to be held Wednesday. The faculty did not give us our answer until Tuesday when they decided to show their Irish and accept the Tuesday night the challenge. Townspeople were aroused by the Seniors torchlight parade. Wednesday morning the faculty came to chapel dolled in green bow ties, ready for the contest. The Seniors wore their Irish inside, hut it came out, for when the decision from the three 11 Fresh ie judges was given, the Seniors were victorious. Tuesday night the Seniors displayed some of their unoqualed talent in dramatics, singing and dancing when they presented their High The mirror Class Vaudeville. life was held up before every-da- y and showed some of its humorous difficulties for who knows whether or not Jimmy caught the train, or what was really said in The the Lovers Quarrel.
