get a new church job that requires less effort than the old church job I broke about even You're supposed to get blessings instead of money for doing your church job well But ever since I heard a guy call the loss of both of his legs I much a blessing prefer the plan Complaining about no pay could get you blessed until your insurance company wont cover you more Its different in other churches Some faiths actually interview and take resumes for various church jobs Salaries and benefits are discussed Relocation packages are offered A friend of mine a pastor in another church actually got a raise in salary by transferring to a bigger congregation back East Most Mormons don't go looking for church jobs Its considered tres gauche if not outright nuts for someone to actually aspire to be a bishop or a Relief Society president Besides the way things work in the LDS Church eventually you'll get your turn whether You want it or not Those who dont understand the nature of an LDS church job wonder why people don't just say no when called to be something like the ward pack mule Part of iit is an honest desire to be of service to others Part of its guilt Its hard to say no to your bishop when You
