Stewart met with the farmers in a meeting Tuesday evening and very ably discussed and demonstrated de-monstrated several diseases of the potato. po-tato. He also gave a formula for treating treat-ing the potato before planting. On account ac-count of his meeting with the farmers the regular meeting of the farmers organization or-ganization was dispensed with this week. A number of the Saints here attended conference in Salt Lake. "Bui Bui," presented by the High School of Price, was a feature of April-fool April-fool day. Gurnsey, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Young, is seriously ill with typhoid feyer. ORANGEVILLE The members of the Ladies' Aid club are glad to see that the youth of Orangeville Orange-ville have been doing so mucn in putting on a play to renovate the stage, which was in a bad condition. We are als glad they put on such a play as "Experience" "Ex-perience" it proves that, with proper material, the young people are capable of giving entertainment as good as the best of traveling troupes, and it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to prove their ability. "Experience" is one of the many plays put on by the young people, who have ever been generoas with their time and means to make whatever they attempt to do a success. Mr. Jack, with his wide experience, is indeed a help to all, with his talent, energy, and good advise, with the fine scenery he has painted, is a splendid addition ad-dition to the troupe. Mr. Clyde Van-Buren Van-Buren has been untiring in his efforts to make all a grand success. The people peo-ple of Orangeville appreciate the efforts of the troupe. CLEVELAND We are pleased to see Joe Dumayne out again, after a long and severe illness. ill-ness. Mrs. Christina Pherson is still very low. Mrs. Sena Johnson has also been quite sick with rheumatism. There has been considerable croup among the children, going through whole famalies, and some very severe cases. Mrs. Jeninet Eastabrook and little son of Standardville are visiting relatives rela-tives and friends in Cleveland. Archie Allred is home again after an absence of several months. , Miss Sarah OveBon, one of the stake aids of the Primary, visited the local association last Saturday. The students were all home from the E. S. A. to spend Easter. Others spending spend-ing Easter in Cleveland were Joseph Rasmussen and family of Helper, Eraf-tus Eraf-tus Rasmussen and family of Castledale, Castle-dale, also Wm. Cash of Castledale. and Sarah Oveson of Huntington. Louis P. Oveson is the owner of a brandnew car. He and his family motored motor-ed up to Huntington Sunday. Last Thursday the Home Economics class held their regular meeting after which they treated the Relief Society sisters to a fine lunch consisting of sandwiches, pie, cake, apples, and some very nice home made candy. An excellent ex-cellent entertainment was given to the public the same evening. Bert Childs has moved his family to the Reservation. Einar Johnson and family have moved to Huntington. |
