Show COMMISSIONERS MEETING Commissioners met in regular session Monday, April 5th, and transacted the following bupiness: N. C. Oveson appointed health officer and registrar of vital statistics for Cleveland precinct. Thomas Wells appointed registrar of vital statistics and health officer for Desert Lake. H. J. Hinson appointed health officer and registrar of vital statistics for Woodside. Geo. H. Oviatt was appointed road supervisor for Elmo precinct. Geo. B. Funk appointed road supervisor super-visor for Rochester precinct. The Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for repairing court house. The matter of the changing the school system of the county to conform to the new law of consolidating the schools of the county, was informally talked over, as the new law becomes effective May 11, 1915. Owing to the situation of the towns of the county there are six natural voting vot-ing districts which are as follows: Green River and Woodside, 1; Cleveland, Cleve-land, Elmo, and Desert Lake, 2; Huntington, Hunt-ington, Lawrence and Mohrland, 3; Castle Cas-tle Dale and Orangeville, 4; Ferron, Molen, and Clawson, 5; Rochester and Emery, 6. But the law provides that the county shall be divided into but five districts. Each district will be one voting vot-ing precinct, and will have one member on the General Board of Trustees. The petition of the people of Rochester Ro-chester for a change of the county road, which was presented last month, was granted. This will be a good improvement improve-ment on the road as the new road will pass through the residential part of the settlement. |
