Show THREE MORE DRAFTKE8 TO LEAVE NEXT SATURDAY Sylvester Noyes of Victor, H. P. Pehrson of Cleveland, and John D. Hambrlck of Castledale will make up Emery's quota of men who are to leave for Camp Lewis as a part of the 96,-000 96,-000 drafted men called recently by the President. The state's quota was in the neighborhood of 250 men and they will begin moving to camp on Friday, March 29. Emery county's trio of prospective fighters for their country will not leave until the day tollowing though called to report here on the 29th. Messrs. Noyes and Pehrson Pehr-son are employed at Sunnyside while Mr. Hambrlck is at home in the Dale. In selecting men to compose this quota the local board was directed to ignore the order number of the men and to select, as nearly as possible, those who might not be engaged in agriculture, but whether or not the same orders will be given for the real second draft, the call for which Is expected ex-pected almost any time, It Is hard to say. Volunteer forces of workers, composed com-posed of district school and Academy teachers, together with a large number num-ber of Academy students, have been assisting in the work of the local board the past week, with the result that the index card of practically every one of the 584 men registered last June and who is not now in the service, is complete. com-plete. w. s. s. |
