The board of county coun-ty commissioners duly made the ap- ' propriation as tentatively promised some time ago and the working com- ; mittces and officers of the fair have been appointed. Huge banners ad- ( vertising the fair are being painted ; and no car in or passing through, the j county will be given any quarter un- i less they carry one of these banners : to the end of the world if they hap- j pen to be going that far. Entry lists are also being prepared and these will be distributed throughout the county. The sports committee have some big plans underway and every kind of race that's known to followers of the turf will be pulled off. The city park is being well-prepared at considerable expense and everything is being done that is possible to make attendance at the fair possible and profitable to every ev-ery man, woman, and child in the whole county. Prices of admission will be fixed on this basis, the "holdup "hold-up stuff," so popular with some similar simi-lar institutions, being consigned to a a bottomless grave in this instance.
