Show PETERSON C0LDEN WEDDING As was announced last week, a gala time was had at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Peterson last Friday afternoon where were congregated congre-gated about 50 invited guests of the beloved old people. The event was in commemoration of their golden wedding wed-ding anniversary. A sumptuous dinner was served at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, after-noon, elaborately arranged on long tables set upon the front veranda of their beautiful home located under the brow of the hill on Academy Avenue. Anything and everything desirable to eat was served at the notable dinner and a fatted lamb had been expertly prepared for the occasion. The old couple felt as happy and young as if it were their first wedding day. After the dinner was served R. C. Miller's Edison concert phonograph dispensed beautiful music and later an impromptu program of songs and recitations reci-tations in several languages was rendered, ren-dered, after which a delicious luncheon was served. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson proved to be royal entertainers. They are people who love to live in peace with humanicy, and have a host of friends in this and other communities in Utah who wish them peace, love and prosperity. |
