Show HUNTINGTON YOUNG LADY ANSWERS DEATH S CALL (Special correspondence) j Annie Laurie Johnson, daughter of I Mr. and Mrs. Chriss Johnson, passed j quietly away Thursday evening, JIayGth. j She was born at Huntington May 20th ! lsyl. at which place she lived and grew i to womanhood. From her birth she had been afflicted with epileptic fits, : and while many times she had been ; near death's door, she had always been : a very quiet and patient sufferer. She 'grew up a very faithful and devout Latter-day Saint and always eager to ; attend to her religious duties, especially j was she attached to the Sunday School, j and always thoughtful of the happiness of others. About a month ao she had a very severe siege of sickness, at which time all hopes were given up of her recovery. However she so far improved as to be able to walk about the house and visited visit-ed at the homes of different ones of her relatives, and only the Sunday before her death visited at the home of her sister, at which place she was stricken I suddenly wit h pneumonia. She was ' taken hnme and grew steadily worse, I but only those constantly at her btd-' btd-' side realized th" seriousness of her ' case until Thursday morning, consequently conse-quently her death came as a si vere , shock to all. Oniy about a half hour before she (lied she called all her lowd ones to her lie.isi.le and kissed them good-bve and then sank quietly to her final rest. j Funeral services were held Sunday at ! the ward meeting houe and the lari'e . attendance and the manv floral offer-inns offer-inns tol l of the hij;h esteem in which she was held. Much sympathy goes out to the bereaved be-reaved parents as it is only ten months ago they were called to lav away a-nother a-nother daughter (Mrs. Peter Johansen of Castledale). Besides her parents she leaves the following brothers and sisters: Melvin Cook of Rie-by, Idaho; ; Vm. Cook and Ray Johnson, Mrs. L. N. Strong and Stella Johnson, ofHunt-ington; ofHunt-ington; and Mrs. Wm. T. Litster of Cleveland, they were all at her bedside when the end came. |
