Show LIGE OH CHICKENS It is evident, therefore, that if one desires to remov" chicken lice effectively, effective-ly, somi preparatio t must be used which can be applied directly to the lice or the chicken?, such as a lice powder, dip, or spray, or som preparation must be used that will give off sufficient fumes to kill the Hcj on the chicken by-said by-said fumes. It naturally follows if a preparation of the latter character is used it mujt be used in such a manner that the fumes will be in sufficient concentration con-centration to kill the lice on the chickens and at the same time not be injurious to the chicken. On the other hand, if one wishes to remove chicken mites effectively, ef-fectively, some pnparation should be used (such as creosote oil or kerosene oii) which will soak in all cracks and crevices of the poultry house, cover all roosts, walls, etc., and in this way by direct contact destroy the mites. Th'' board is of the opinion that such mixtures as are di scribed in the first paragraph of this notice- are not practi cal "Chicken-lice killers. ' buc are "Chicken-mite killers," and should be u ed and sold as such. If in a few isolated iso-lated cas--s d. reckons can be given for the use ot the preparation, such that when followed the preparation will succeed suc-ceed in removing lice from chickens effectively, ef-fectively, then it will be satisfactory to sell preparations of tnis character as "Chicken-lice killers."
