Show SUBS SINK ANOTHER VESSEL. Norwegian Vessel Sunk Forty Miles Off Virginia Capes. Washington. German submarine raiders again have disclosed their positions. po-sitions. An announcement from the navy department Wednesday said the Norwegian steamer Eidsvold was sent to the bottom at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, forty miles off the A'irginia capes. The entire crew was rescued by a navy supply ship. The raiders were closer inshore when they attacked the Eidsvold than on any previous occasion, except when they launched the mines picked up off the Delaware capes. The tanker Pratt apparently struck one of these mines, ami a number of others, ttnex-p'.oded. ttnex-p'.oded. have been gathered up in the same vicinity by patrol craft. . |
