Show BUSINESS MEN PATRIOTIC That the business men of Emery county are alike patriotic and progressive pro-gressive from whatever angle you view them is evidenced by the fact that they are right in line with their brethren breth-ren throughout the state in buying newspaper space und donating it to War Savings stamp campaign. Beginning in our issue of June 1st with a well-worded argument for the purchase of these high class securities, se-curities, the space being purchased and paid for by Edw. G. Geary, county chairman, similar live-wire arguments have been advanced by others. The Bowen Mercantile Co. of Huntington contributed a good-sized space last week, and the Emery County Bank, Huntington Drug Co., Peacocks' Cash I Store at Orangeville, and the A. R. Coe Drug Co. appear this week, each with well-directed arguments which will benefit to an incalculable degree the man who has already bought his stamps, the man who is contemplating buying, and the canvasser who is to sign up his neighbors. Perhaps a personal word of praise for the splendid way in which these men and business institutions have contributed space in this campaign would not be amiss. Never and nowhere no-where could be found men who were more responsive when invited to purchase pur-chase space. In only two instances was there the least hesitation noticeable, notice-able, while the big majority lost not a moment's time in agreeing to take space. Other contributions will appear in our next issue. w. s. s. |
