Show MORE CALLS FOR I MEN FROM COUNTY i I Calls were received this week by the I local draft board for thirteen more men for the army, six of the number ; to be sent to the University of Utah for eight weeks of technical training and seven men for Camp Lewis. In addition to this, the state has been celled upon for a later 500 men for Camp Lewis, and Emery county will I be given at least six or seven of this ! total besides the other thirteen. And j the latter call may be heavier than this as Emery county now has some I 21 physically fit Class 1 men left while '.some counties have none. Incident-' Incident-' ally, according to the latest "dope" j from Washington, cases of deferred classification granted men of the 1917 registration are to be scrutinized carefully, care-fully, especially Class 4 cases, with the expectation that many reversals will be In order. William Dahling of Green River and Van Acord of Castledale have volunteered volun-teered as two of te six men to fill Emery county's apportionment for the training course at the U. of U., but the other four have not as yet been secured. se-cured. They will leave for Salt Lake June 14. The seven men for Camp Lewis has not been decided upon as yet but the list will be available for next week's issue. The latter men entrain en-train for Camp Lewis on or about June 24th. The third and as yet unknown quota will likely follow them right soon thereafter as they also form it is to form aenumbionimthenpalarg a part of the June draft. In addition to these definite quotas it is expected that Emery county will be called upon for two or three limited service men for the spruce-production division of the aviation service as there has been no volunteers from the county coun-ty for this service. Also, the county is sure to be called upon for two men to take the places of Edgar Sitterud and Edgar Jensen of Orangeville who were returned from Carnp Lewis the other day as unfit physically for general service. ser-vice.
