He was accompanied by his sister, Miss Vivian, and a girl friend. i Fred Anderson jr. was down from Hiawatha on business the first of the week. While here he closed a deal whereby he becomes owner of the S. B. Bunnel property in the west part of town. ! Mr. and Mrs. Tom Averett arrived in the Dale Saturday from Castle Gate. They will spend the summer here as Mr. Averett has a job on the Burton and Nielson ranch on Huntington creek. A. F. Narver, the hot-air financier of Koehf-ster flat fame, was reported confined in the Salt Lake county jail in the absence of a $2000 bond in which he is held to answer to two charges of forgery. Lyle Killpack of Ferron who enlisted enlist-ed in the army in Idaho at the first outbreak of war, and was later transferred trans-ferred to the air service, writes home that he has landed in England safe and is making short practice flights. Paul Judd has leased the George Fullmer farm on Rock Canyon flat and is preparing to get right close to nature there this summer and the privilege of occupying a certain chair is always his when he begins to farm with words. Cattlemen from every which town in the county could be seen high-stepping it into the local bank on their way back from Price- the forepart of the week and all with big smiles on their faces. Some fifteen hundred fine steers converted into cold cash and distributed around in handy amounts would make anyone step high. Peter Johansen made a quiet getaway geta-way to Mt. Pleasant the first of the week and report has it that he was scheduled to accompany Mrs. Sophia Poulsen to and from the Manti temple on Thursday. Mrs. Poulsen (that was) will be remembered as having visited in Huntington and Castledale some two weeks ago. Emery county having been called upon for two more men to compose the quota known as the third increment incre-ment f the second draft, it is probable that two of the three alternates coming com-ing in to fill the second increment will be used to fill the call.
