Show CLEVELAND Mrs. Larsen, an aged lady of this place, died early Wednesday morning and was buried Thursday. She has no living relatives except one daughter at the mental hospital. H. P. Jensen, with whose family she had made her home for several years, came down from Sunnyside to attend the funeral. The children of Daniel Stokes were greatly shocked when word reache them on Wednesday of his death as no word has been received since leaving here for the hospital. His son, Wm.D., left at once for Salt Lake where he had the body prepared for shipment, reaching reach-ing here early Saturday morning. Funeral services were held Sunday with a very large crowd in attendance. He leaves the following children; Wm. D. Stokes' Mrs. Martha Allred, Mrs. Lucy Knight, all of Cleveland, and Joseph Stokes of Eureka. The latter also accompanied the remains home. Two brothers from Coalville and one from Odgen were also in attendance at the funeral. Joe Stokes, who has spent the last eight months at the hospital receiving treatment for a crushed foot, returned home this week. Jed Knight is on the sick list this week. Mrs. Cramer is around on crutches, as a result of a sprained ankle received a few weeks ago. Wm. Eden expects to 'eave in the near future for a mission to the western west-ern states. Miss Emma Johnson is spending a few weeks with her parents before entering en-tering college. Miss Winnie Litster is visiting in Helper with her sister, Mrs. Rose Rasmussen. Charles Christensen and family of Castle Gate are visiting relatives and friends in Cleveland. Elias Erickson and family are also visiting relatives and friends here. Mrs. Sadie Lamph and children and Mrs. Edna Snow and little son, all of Standard, are visiting relatives here. |
