Show EMERY Impressive funeral services were held Thursday of last week, over the remains re-mains of Mr. J. "Ernest Larsen who died on August 10, after a lingering illness of several years. Mr. Larsen spent the early years of his life in Mayfield but for several years has been a resident resi-dent of Emery. He leaves a wife, five children, parents, brothers, and sisters, and a host of friends to mourn his early demise. A large number of the relatives of Mr. and Mrs, Larsen from Mayfield attended the funeral. I Baby boys have lately made their ap-j ap-j pearance at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Jorgensen and Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Neilson. Dr. Graham has been called to Emery a couple of times lately to attend Mrs. N. P. Anderson, who has been very ill, but is on the rapid road to recovery at present. The Mutual association tendered Miss Eva Williams a bundle shower last week. Miss Nellie Olsen entertained a host of her friends at her summer home on Queatchuppah last week. Prof. Stewart, together with a number num-ber of farmers and their wives, visited several of the farms and gardens in and about Emery last Monday. Agricultural Agri-cultural conditions were fouud to be very favorable and with his many suggestions sug-gestions great improvement is expected along the lines of farming and gardening. garden-ing. It was proven, by observation, that gardening in Emery can be second to none. Mrs. Job Oliver from Elmo and Mrs. Clara Davis from Cleveland spent a few days in Emery this week. Mr. and Mrs. Nels Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Jensen from Mayfield are visiting relatives and friends here. |
