A girl named plain "Mary" at her birth dropped the "r" when she grew up and became Miss May. As she began be-gan to shine in a social way she changed the "y" to "e" and signed her letters Mae. About a year ago she was married, mar-ried, and now she has dropped the "e," and it's just plain "Ma." That's evolution. evo-lution. The Progress is very popular in Ferron Fer-ron and deserves a larger subscription list. Just as a half dozen of our young ladies from Ferron were quite sweet on Johnny Fullmer and thought they had him solid, he slipped quiedy out to "Poverty Flat" and married Miss Hardy, a young lady whom he 'had not known long, and of whom all the girls are now jealous. A new baby arrived Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Reid of Orangeville. |
