Show ?ounty PERRON Preparations are being made for a grand Fourth of July celebration. We have the promise of having a right good time. Everybody come out and help to make things lively. Two new babies have arrived one at John Stevens and one at J. Christensens. Mr. Robert Abild of Hartford, Conn., who has been visiting with Rev. Mix for the"past two weeks, left Friday for his home by wav of Denver, Omaha, Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and New York City. . Mrs.Beata Olsen and Polly Lesle.who have been on our sick list, are improvng. Mr. O. Sorenson jr., and wife of Castledale visited in Ferron Tuesday. Mrs. Celia Nelson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Olsen left for Manti on Monday. A number of friends of Mrs. J. H. Clark gave her a bundle shower last Monday. Ferron cemetery is being beautified. Some fifty odd pine trees were set out I last week. Streets were graded and ' a great deal of improvement has been j made. The water will be accessable twice a week. We expect to have a ! beautiful cemetery within a very short time. The work is being done under i the direction of the town board. Mr. and Mrs. John Behling and Mis Lillian Nelson, are recovering from injuries in-juries sustained in a runaway, near Ferron, last Thursday. The three were on their way home from Castledale Castle-dale where they had been during the last session of court. Doc Gutheil was in town on business Thursday. Master June Lowry is visiting with his brother Meryin, in Helper. CLEVELAND Committees are working vigorously to make this 4th of July a success. Misses Emaline Mortensen, Pearl Alger and Leona Johnson are the candidates for Goddess of Liberty. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Cook of Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cook and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson of Huntington to-gather to-gather with local relatives visited last Sunday at the Litster home and inci-dently inci-dently assisted Will in celebrating his 35th birthday. Wilford Larson, who has been em-I em-I ployed in Sanpete County has now returned re-turned home. Riss Minchey and Tina Jensen have returned rom Castle Gate where they have been employed. A dance was held Wednesday eve to close tha voting contest. Miss Pearl Alger won out as Godess. (Too late for last week.' Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pherson haye recently welcomed a daughter to their home. Mr. and Mrs. June Anderson are rejoicing re-joicing over the arrival of a son. Mrs. Lena Johnson has recently returned re-turned from Salt Lake and Kaysville where she went to receive medical aid, having been afflicted for some time with rheumatism. Richard Knight who has been attending attend-ing school at Ogden is spending the summer with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jedediah Knight. Mrs. Geo. Dillingham and children of Sunnyside have been visiting relatives and friends in Cleveland. Mrs. Frona Ottestrom has been visiting visit-ing for some time in Salt Lake. Mrs. McCutcheon has been visiting here for some time with her son and daughter Howard and Nellie. Mr. and Mrs. John Eden and Mrs. Maud Jensen were called hurriedly to Salt Lake last week to be at the bedside bed-side of their daughter and sister, Mrs. Annie Lewis, who is very low. They have now returned home and report her to be on the improve. The Relief society held their meeting last week at the home of Mrs.MaryAnn Larson in commemoration of her 83d birthday. An excellent time was enjoyed en-joyed by all. Miss Annie Jensen, who has been employed at Black Hawk for some time visited with relatives and friends a few days last week. Mrs. Ellen Ruggs of Price has been visiting relatives and friends here. Hans Jacobsen of Burley, Idaho, died at that place on June 11th after a long and severe illness. He was brought to Huntington and buried the following Sunday. He leaves a wife and 6 children chil-dren to mourn his demise. The children chil-dren are Mrs. Andrew P. Neilson of Cleveland, Mrs. MaryMcBride, and Walter, Wal-ter, Chris, Earnest and Neils, all of Idaho. The wife and children accompanied accom-panied the remains here and have since been visiting local relatives. The Sunday school had a very nice outing on June 16. An excellent program pro-gram was rendered followed bv sports and a ball game between Cleveland and Lawrence resulting in a victory for the former. The days entertainment closed with a dance in the evening. Nearly $30 was cleared for the Sunday school. We noticed beside a large attendance from Cleveland a great many from ' Elmo and some from Lawrence. j Mr. and Mrs. Edd Rowley and Miss j Stella Johnson of Huntington Mr. and !
