In the last two years stockmen have spent $5,000 in the construction of drift fences on that forest, the losses previously of both sheep and ca.ttle having boen vtry heavy from larkspur, death camas, and loco. Dr. Marsh expects to occupy the new station in about two weeks. A force of from 5 to 10 men will be employed in the handling of the some thirty cattle and fifty sheep upon which experiments will be conducted, and the erection of three additional buildings will be necessary neces-sary as quarters and for labratory facilities. faci-lities.
