Show CHILDREN'S DAY 03SEVED "Children's Day" was appropriately observed by the Castledale branch of the Presbyterian Sabbath School Sunday, Sun-day, June 13th, the services being held at the home of Mrs. Geo. A. Baker. The program consisting of songs, recitations and piano music, was under the direction of Miss Margeret Barkley, and Miss Pauline Wood. A piano duet from Vera Brandon and Norma Wood, vocal solo from Mrs. Baker, and a brief talk from the Supt. Mrs. Wood upon the beauties and advantages of an early Christian activity, were followed by a recitation from five little girls wearing crowns of roses, three little boys carrying flags. An offering for the general missionary fund was given, and the services closed with the chorus, "Onward, Christian Soldiers." This little organization came into being be-ing three years ago with three students and one teacher, and now numbers eighteen members, representing eight families, and has recently been taken under the care of the Southern Utah Presbyt;ry. Cottage prayer m eetings, and Bible discussions directed by Rev. Mix arc held ev-ry alternate Tuesday evening. Bible students are cordially welcomed. |
