Show MAESER MEMORIAL SERVICES A SUCCESS The Religion Class workers are to be complimented on the excellent program that was rendered Sunday evening. The children did commendably well even the little chaplin Perry Day surprised ! us. The first lecture treated "The Con-I Con-I version of Dr.Maeser" and was delivered deliver-ed by little Miss Madge Larsen in an excellent way. The general plan of religion re-ligion class work known a8 the "Six Steps" was explained by Mrs Mollie Cash, and we are safe in saying it was ; entirely new to all present except the religion class workers. The story told I by Miss Crystal Behunin entitled "The Terror" was .very interesting. The J "Terror" was a wild young man from a certain southern Utah town who was sent to the B. Y. Academy for reformation. reform-ation. He had many troubles there and was at last to be expelled when through the power of prayer his heart was softened soft-ened and he saw the better way, and at last the once black sheep became a bishop's counselor. The testimony by little Miss Berg was especially good. Someone sitting close by the editor said "I'd like to squeeze the little thing." In conclusion Prof. G. F. Hickman and A. E. Wall, Sr., old students of Dr. Maeser, toll some experiences that transpired during their school days. The energetic teachers of religion class work feel that they ought to have more support from the parents, only two have visited them this month. Remember Re-member parents, it's while the shoot is young and tender that it can be bent in the way it should grow. |
