Show THE TWENTY CENTURY ANNIVERSARY CONCERT I The twenty century anniversary concert con-cert held in the Salt Lake Tabernacle Thursday March 2d was one of the most noted in its musical functions ever held in this historic structure. Prof. John T. Hand, whom we all know, scored a great success. The following is what the News has to say of him: "Mr. Hand's artistic tenor rendition of the "Pagliacci" number took so well, that he was given two recalls, both being be-ing responded to with an aria from "Rigoletto." Mr. Hand is scholarly in his interpretation and effective in dramatic rendering." This is not the first time he has been noticed in town. At the meeting of the teachers association in December he was the only man receiving two recalls. Alfred Best, Dougall and others were present and sang at the same session. Prof. Hand is a genius and his many friends in Emery county rejoice with him over his success. |
