Among the advertisements in an English paper there recently appealed appeal-ed the following: "The gentleman who found a purse with money in Bur-ford Bur-ford street is requested to forward it to the address of the loser, as he was recognized. A few days later this reply was inserted: in-serted: "The recognized gentleman who picked up a purse in Burford street requests the loser to call at his house." Exchange.
