Show WALTERS STOCK COMPANY ' CIVES DRAMATIC FEASTS The Walters Stock company is paying Emery county another visit, the first since 1909, when they played a nu nber of successful engagements that left a keen anticipation for their next visit, which they are now making, having failed to come out into Castle Valley last season. The caste isn't quite what it was two years ago as there are but two of the old troupe with the present company, but nevertheless they lire rendering very creditable performances. Their reportoire this time consists of some of the best known piays of today. to-day. They are all good ones "and all draw good houses, but the drawing card is the king of of plays "Corianton" the play that has been adapted from Book of Mormon history. This was the one they put on in Castledale Thursday evening, and it was very well received, though the players were much handicapped handi-capped by the smallness of the stage. The scenery was one of the specially good parts of the production. Last night, they put on the Parisian "Prin-cess"and "Prin-cess"and it, too was very good. Tonight completes their engagement in Castledale Castle-dale ' We would find ourselves in trouble if we were tb begin to mike special mention men-tion of players for we scarcely know where to jbegin for the work of the whole caste was especially good. The only criticism we could offer the is the slowness of speech of the little Indian maiden, who when angry can not utter a word. What a blessing it would be if all men could be as fortunate as the fool in getting a wife who when angry could not speak. Castiedale needs an opera house and it doesn't take a prophet to predict that we will leave one some sweet day, then we can offer greater inducements to entertainments en-tertainments of this kind. |
