Show RAILROAD PROSPECTS ARE STILL C090 That the advantages which accrue ac-crue to the first railroad that, builds through Emery county are not being overlooked is evidenced by the fact that the Castle Valley has the matter under consideration. The preliminary survey was made to Huntington last spring and that if built the work would not stop there has been the opinion of the people all the while. That they were right is proven by the fact that E. B. Coulson, chief engineer of the company, was down the valley the first of the week looking over the country ' ... and getting general information as to the attitude of the people toward the , enterprise. He gathered considerable information as to population, products, freight shipped in and out and many other things. In fact as he stated he vas just taking a preliminery look at the country and the prospects, not that vhey had capital at hand for the project jut that they might be able to state: oome of the facts in case the opportun- j ity presented itself. j There is little doubt that this company intends to be the first road through here and that they are working to that end. Whether they will build soon or not is not yet decided. With this road extended from Cedar Creek to Salina Castle Valley would have two ways of getting to Salt Lake and the markets of the world and the resources of the valley would get into the limeligh". in a way that would bring a wave of prosperity of stifficient strength to land us far on the road of progress. Keep your eye on Emery. |
