Saturday evening Voorhees, Tuttle and Christensen of the High school basket ball team went to Ephraim and joined the Snow Academy in a game agai st Richfield, to give the last named nam-ed team practice for the finals at Salt Lake this week. The result was 38-18 in Richfield's favor. Mozart Larson of Freedom has been visiting at the home of Sarah and Christen Hansen the latter part of the week. Miss Delia Weaver of Salt Lake came out Tunday and is visiting with her aunt Mrs. Dr. Nelson. , Miss Ellen Munk entertained the Acacia girls very pleasantly Saturday evening with music, games, etc. Re freshments were served. Luella Nielon entertained at eards Tuesday evening for Charlotte Lowry. Refreshments were served during the evening. Josephine and Evan Jensen of Monroe Mon-roe are guests at the Niels Jorgenson home. Miss Emily Hanks of Ashton, Idaho, who has been visiting in Manti for the past two months will leave for her home this week. Blaine Tuttle and Milton Cox returned return-ed from Salt Lake Saturday where they have been attending the University. Universi-ty. Mr. and Mrs A. 0. Allison returned Saturday from a short visit in Los Angeles, Long Baach and Riverside, California. Rev. G. W. Martin has been called to Emmitt, Idaho, by the serious illness of a friend and there will be no services at the Presbyterian church Sunday. Miss Kate Crawford is recovering from quite a serious illness of several weeks duration. Myron Bird took a turn for the worse this week, his father being called to Salt Lake Wednesday when it was thought a second operation would be necessary. He has been gaining since, however, and it is hoped a second operation opera-tion can be avoided. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Anderson of Price received a visit from the stork the 20th of February, which left them a baby boy. Mr. Anderson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Anderson of this city. We learn from Alfred Alder that F. C. Alder underwent an operation at a Logan hospital a couple of weeks ago having a growth removed from his Teg. At last r-ports he was improving expecting to leave the hospital this week. Ephraim The Snow Aceadmy Dramatic club presented a play at the Manti Opera house Thursday evening. The club was accompanied by the academy orchestra. The same play will be presented by the company atGunniscn Friday evening. The. name of Rudolph Nielson of Ephraim was among those to whom barber's cartificates were issued by the state board of examiners this week. Miss Drucilla Anderson of Richfield has been the guest of relatives and friends -in Ephraim. Rudolph Nelson spent a few days in Salt Lake City this week. Miss Esther Anderson, who is employed em-ployed as teachea at Centerfield, visited vis-ited relatives ard friend in Ephraim last Saturday and S.inday. Miss Ruby Jensen, who is teaching school at Gunnison, spent Saturday and Sunday with relatives in this city. Wilford Hansen of Salt is visiting with relatives in this city this week. Sali Hans Neilsen and wife, of Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, were guests of Mrs. Lehi Peterson Sr., over Sunday of this week. Mr.'August Hakensen and wife o Salt Lake City are visiting Mrs. Haken-sen's Haken-sen's mother, Mrs. M. C. Neilson, this week. Mrs. J" H. Nelson returned on Sunday Sun-day from a two weeks' visit to Salt Lake City. , Bennet Kenney of Raymond, Canada is visiting relatives in Salina. Mrs. W. H. Rex and daughter Violet are sojourning in southern California . and are completaly elated over the country there. Laura Crane and Esthsr Simper visited in Salt Lake during the week. Niels P. Nielson has been down from Lark this week and will shortly return to his ranch in Idaho. Miss Essie Rex entertained at a dinnerparty din-nerparty Sunday in honor of Mrs. S. E. Talley and Mrs J. D. Taylor. To Mrs. J. Foote a still born baby on Sunday night. Mrs. S. E. Talley and Mrs. B. Nelson returned to their respective homes on Tuesday after a long stay with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.
