Show ! ' ORANGE VI LLE j Mrs. Flora Cox gave a card party to a number of her friends this week. A most pleasant evening was enjoyed by all present. The Fullmer brothers left Tuesday, with their outfits, fo their work on the San Rafael, where they are putting in a dam to irrigate a large ranch. The ; work is being done for private individuals. individ-uals. Oscar Robert on's little child has been quite ill with pneumonia, but is out of dangei now. Mrs. Hannah Snow has returned from ' Price, where she has been nursing her little granechild. She reports the babe much improved. j Miss Reah Reid is quite ill, suffering 1 with a severe pain in her head. We hope she will recover soon. Miss Jensen, one of our clerks in the Co-op, is suffering from the effects of a severe cold. Her smiling face is ! missed in the store. Mr. Whitehead, agent for the Utah Implement House, is here on a business trip. He reports that Mr. Geo. Fail, who has worked for the firm many years, has taken charge of the Cache Valley Implement House in Preston, Idaho. Geo. is an Orangeville boy, and has made a great success of his work. Good luck to him. The Ladies' Aid Club will meet with the Commercial Ciub Saturday evening. A good attendance from both clubs is expected. B. F. Luke left for Salt Lake Sunday He intends going to Idaho and other states on business before returning. j Mr. Alfred Childs returned from the j Tintic district and reports business dull in that section. i'he Relief Society sisters spent a pleasant afternoon, on Thursday, with Mrs. Agnes Woolman, who is quite ill. Mrs. Woolman is a woman who has done much to relieve the suffering and it is a pity to see her on the sick list. Mrs. Wilkins is reported to be better at this writing. Mrs. Margaret Moflitt, an aged lady, is quite ill, Mrs. Jane R. Cox is suffering from a ! cold, also Mrs. Sena Johnson. j Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Taylor enter- I tained a number of their friends on the . ISth in honor of their brother, John 1 Tatton's I'.Oth birthday. Mr. Talton is -here on a visit from Nevada. j There will be a reunion of the memory : of the descendants of the late Walter, Cox on Thursday evening at the resid- ; ence of A. C. VanBuren and wife to commemorate his natal day and talk of his many good traits of character and his fatherly counsel in days that are I past. There are qui "e a number of i relatives in Orangeville and Ferron so no doubt they will have a good time. Cases of colds and grippe are quite prevalent since the change ii the weather, but nothing serious. |
