Show NEW HOMESTEAD BILL REPORTED FAVORABLY The Senate committee on public lands has authorized a favorable report on bill reducing the time for securing Patents on homestead entries from five to three years. The bill also provides that the entryman shall be entitled to a kave of absence for six months out of ach year, thus cutting the actual residence re-sidence required to secure patent t --Khteen months.
