It is the opinion of a member of our school board who recently met with some of the people of Lawrence and discussed the propositiod of annexing Lawrence to this school district, that the people of Lawrence do not fully understand the question as it affects their interests as a school district, and that they have not thoroughly considered consider-ed it from an educational standpoint. He points out that by annexation the grammar grades of Lawrence might be placed in a graded school and that both grammar and primary grades could he given betttrf acilities and more thorough instruction as a result of annexation. He observes, also, that a redistricting of the school districts is sure to come in which event, he said, the valuation of Huntington school district will be increased in-creased and that of Lawrence decreased. Huntington, with fiye hundred school children, now has a valuation no greater than that of Green River with one hundred and ninety school children.
