Show i i There was considerable quietness around the square Tuesday night while the young ladies meeting was in session This was due to marshal Kofford's vigilence that night. It has been quite a habit for the boys to congregate about the meeting house awaiting the girls as they come out, and they sometimes become be-come rather boisterous. There was none of this Tuesday evening quiet words of advice from Mr. Kofford were heeded with alacrity and the square was kept clear until meeting was out. This is to be commended. There is too much noise going on when meetings are in progress at times and it can be stopped One body is as much intitled to this protection as another. Some of the other places might well profit by this, especially one of the neighboring towns where horse racing and like boisterous-ness boisterous-ness are indulged in on the main stret-t. |
