Show SURPRISE ON MRS. MILLER The members of the Young- Ladies Mutual Improvement Association save a surprise party lastTuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Miller, wife of Ex-President Ex-President R. G. Miller of the old Emery slake. There were some 45 members, and in contemplation of the departure of Mrs. Miller for Salt Lake City, they gathered to express their appreciation of her many acts of kindness during the years here in Pric- among- them. The young ladies took with them ice cream and cake, some of them took their choice selections of music with them. .Mrs. Laura Miller and Byron Miller kept Mrs. Miller in the dining room while the com i any quietly entered the house. When the visitors were in the front of the house, the young lady told Mrs. Miller that some one yanted her at the phone. When Mrs. .Miller went into the front part of the house to answer the phone she found herself surrounded by friends. After a few minutes she was informed inform-ed that she was being surprised and presented her with a very beautiful china cake and berry set. The young ladies entertained their guest and tnemsei ves in recitations, solos, familiar songs and feasting on ice cream and cake. At a late hour they departed to their -several homes feeling that they had spent a most enjoyable evening. -News. |
