Show NEWS FROM HIAWATHA General Manager Sweet came up to-day to-day from Salt Lake City, bringing with him his father and mother to see the progress of the mine. S. R. Jewkes, who has been the tipi'le foreman and master of machinists has left and gone to Sunnyside where he has been offered a better position. All those who knew Mr. Jewkes speak very highly of him and wish him success Mr. Fairchild has been elected his successor suc-cessor and we all hope that he will like the camp and stay with us. Manager Sweet brought with him a man to oversee the repairing of the mine cars, also a man for the railroad. The output of coal here now is about seven hundred tons per day and from all appearances they will be shipping a thousand tons in another month. |
