Show PROGRESS BEING MADE AT SAN DIEGO FAIR The third week in June saw the permanent per-manent organization in San Diego of the California Carnivals Association, I composed of delegates from every an-! an-! nual festival held in California, having for its purpose a joint movement to provide a carnival or festival in some part of the state for every week in th? year and to advertise systematically the expositions in 1915. M. F. Tarpey of Fresno is chairman and Douglass ! White of Los Angeles is secretary of this association. Progress on the fourth exposition building at San Diego has been rapid and the building is now ready for the plaster. Stucco and outside decorations are b ing placed on the Home Economy Building and the work will be finished by the middle of J jiy. A large force of sculptors and plaster workers are creating miles of decorations for all the buildings at the San Diego Exposition. Expo-sition. California State Building, at the San Diego Exposition 'to cost $250,000.00, is to be started by the first of August. Huge falsework arches are installed in Cardillo bridge, San Diego Exposition grounds, and pouring of the concrete arohes will begin in a few days. Each arch will require thirty hours of continuous con-tinuous pouring from two points to j complete. There are seven arches and j the highest will be 136 feet from the j water to the center of the arch. Over 250,600 feet of floor spice has been reserved in the main exhibit buildings build-ings for exhibitors at the San Diego Exposition. Others are coming in very fast. One-third of the concession space in the Isthmus has been signed up. To date eleven states and fifteen foreign governments have indicated their intention to be represented at the San Diego Exposition. Transportation matters in relation to the San Diego Exposition will be made the subject of a special bulletin to all agents an I all concerned in handling exhibits and passengers bound therefor, to be issued in the near future. The San Diego and Arizona Railway, according to the announcement of its builders, is to be connected with the Southern Pacific Sunset Route at Yuma in time for traffic to the exposition in 1915. Completion will be some time in ! 1914, according to this announcement. A gap of about 65 m les remains to be closed. Bertram (i.
