Taylor, Republican candidate to succeed suc-ceed himself at the general election held in this state Tuesday by James W. Tanner, Democrat, and the tightening- of the race between James H. More complete returns from various parts of the state will not materially change the result announced, with the exception of governor. The Republican Republi-can party won a sweeping victory for United States senator in the re-election of James H. Brady and two congressmen, con-gressmen, Addison T. Smith pd Robert Rob-ert M.
