Show WOULD Hii AT BUTTER MAKERS Willard Hansen jr., state food and dairy inspector, is working on a bill to be presented at the next session of the legislature, designed to make the state weight and measure law conform with the federal weight and measure law. The importance of having the state and federal laws pertaining to weights and measures coincide was outlined to Mr. Hansen recently by F. S. Holbrook, federal weight and measure expert of Washington. In making the state weight and measure law coincide with the federal law, it will be required in Utah that a package of butter of pound dimensions actually contain sixteen ounces net; that a loaf of bread weigh sixteen ounces net and that other article? placed j on the market for public consumption actually conform with standard weight or measure. For the purpose of formulating bills ' to. be introduced at the next session of the state legislature, to make the Utah meat inspection laws conform with the federal meat inspection laws, Dr. J. W. j Treman, city meat inspectof; Willard Hansen jr., state food and dairy in- I spector; Dr. R. B. Leeper, federal meat ' inspector stationed at Ogden, and F. B. ; Raynor, inspector in charge of the local office of federal food and drug inspec- tion, conferred with Dr. F. E.
