Show feiraty v 1 . , EMERY (Crowded out last week) During the month of December babies were born to, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Petty, (a boy); Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Anderson, (a boy), and Mr. and Mrs. James Peacock, (a girl). On Friday evening, Dec. 27th, a farewell fare-well party was given in honor of Elder Jos. J. Christiansen who will leave the first of the year to fill a mission in Denmark. A purse of $75 was raised at the party and presented to Mr. Christiansen. Dancing every night of the week seems to have been the only entertainment entertain-ment during the holidays. The leap year dance on Dec. 31st, which was given by the Mutuals drew a large crowd and of course all the ladies had an excellent time. Sunday evening Miss Ruby Williams entertained the young people in grand style, and on Monday evening Miss Leona Snow followed suit. j Miss Uyudella Killpack is spending i the holidays with her sister, Mrs. Alma Williams, and EJjar Williams came all the wav from Provo to spend the holidays with his sister-in-law, Mrs Alma Williams! Most of-the students who are attending attend-ing schools out of ton have returned home for holidays. Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Wickman are spending the holidays with relatives and I friends. Mrs. Swenson from Pleasant View is visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Ed Anderson. Mr. W. G. Petty has been confined to his bed during the past week with a severe cold on his lungs. Of the seventies quorum, Elders Irvin Williams, Arthur Anderson, ; Peter Christensen, L. P. Jensen and jj. B. Broderick have been called to do I missionary work for two months, and i j will leave for Logan Jan. 2d. |
