Show PATRIOTISM HIGH AT EMERY The following program is being prepared pre-pared by Emery for the celebration of the Fourth of July. Firing of guns and hoisting of flag at daybreak -by A. D. Crawford Serenading by the Emery Silver Band. Braiding of the flag pole from 9:30 until un-til 10 by 12 small girls, under the direction dir-ection of Lettie Petty. Meeting to commence at 10 a. m. Singing, Choir Prayer by the Chaplain Quartet, Jennie Larsen & Company Reading of Declaration of Independence by Mrs. Georgia Anderson Instrumental music, Leona Petty Recitation, Elva Simonson Oration by the orator, Peter Christen-sen Christen-sen Singing, "Star Spangled Banner" Choir S Talk, Peter V. Bunderson ! Piano Duet, Harris Simmonson and j Company j Sng by small boys directed by Luella Burr Song by small girls, directed by Blanch : Peterson " Dialogue, Darwin Brinkerhoff and Co. : Selection, Silver Band. ' Solo, G. M. Burr Vocal Duet, Misses Lilace and Katie I Olsen Benediction by the Chaplain A dance will be given in the afternoon after-noon convening at 2 o'clock, and a dance for adults at night. Amusements of different kinds will be conducted during the afternoon for which prizes will be awarded. A special spe-cial feature will be a boxing contest, in which the boxers will be blind-folded and have one hand tied. Four boxers will be in the ring at one time. A prize will be given to the best boxers. An admission of 10 cents will be charg d the spectators. A base ball game between be-tween the town and ihe athletic club will be played during the afternoon. |
