Hanks visit our little town and give us two of his lectures which were greatly appreciated by those prtsent. Mrs. Einar Johnson and children have gone on a visit to Vernal, Mr. Johnson seems very lonesome without wife and kiddies. Neta Christensen of Castle Gate spent the last two weeks here visiting relatives and friends. It is rumored that some of our townsmen towns-men are anticapating buying automobiles. automo-biles. Suppose they are going to the 1915. Worlds Fair Miss Grace Cox returned to her home at Provo last week where she will remain re-main a short time before taking a trip to Yellowstone Park. Miss Sarah Oveson has been confined to her home the last week on account of illness. Mr. and Mrs. E. 'V. Erickson were visiting in Price last week. I ORANGE VILLE (Crowded out last week) Prof. N. C. Hanks has come and gone and left an impression with the people that this is a pretty good world after all. It is regretable that more did not take the opportunity of meeting this wonderful man than did, bat the Prof, realized that the season of the year was against his having as, targe houses as he would otherwise have had. The men working so hard to get their crops in, their being so belated with their spring work kept them from attending as so many have been camping- in the field. Prot. Hanks is certainly an inspiration in-spiration and this is seen and felt very-much very-much more in his fireside talks than on the platform. There is a great future for him and with his wonderful strength of character we may look to see him reach almost any heights of excellence, and, in the words of one of the class motoes in the E. S. A., we would say, "Watch him." Mothers day was a glorious success. The program was a most excellent one and rendered with much feeling. Grand pa and Grandma Stilson and Grandpa and Grandma Hatfield were the only old people who were not present. All the above mentioned were unable to attend at-tend on account of sickness, but "vere remembered by the committee with a choice boquet of f lowers, the same that were given to all the mothers. Mrs. Retta Miles presented her husband, hus-band, Mr. Ort Miles, with an eleven pound girl, Wednesday morning, Dr. I Hill being present. |
